Job description

Job Title: MRI Technologist - Part-time - Saxony

Join Indiana University Health as a Part-time MRI Technologist at Saxony Hospital. The scheduled hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, with rotating holiday and call requirements. This expanding hospital serves the Fishers community.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Review patient history and screen for safety concerns (ferromagnetic objects, implanted devices, etc.).
  • Educate patients on what to expect and ensure their safety and comfort during scans.
  • Obtain IV access, prepare, and administer contrast, and recognize/respond to adverse contrast events.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Maintain a safe MRI environment by screening all visitors and team members.
  • Adjust scanning protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Perform routine quality control and ensure equipment functionality.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians.
  • Document necessary information in EMR.
  • Assist with minimally invasive procedures as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise patient positioning when necessary.
  • Certification: Must obtain either ARRT RT(MR) or ARMRIT RMRIT certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Possibly a license from Indiana State Department of Health, if applicable.
  • Preferred: MRI experience.
