Qualifications

• Clinical experience in diagnostic imaging modality is required.
• Completion of an approved MRI education program with registry eligibility is required.
• Certification by the ARRT in Radiology, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine is required.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure is required.
• MRI Registry with ARRT required within thirty-six months of employment.
• Ability to obtain BLS during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform magnetic resonance procedures based on standards.
• Understand preparation and positioning according to protocols.
• Participate in quality control and assurance activities.
• Maintain knowledge of all MRI equipment and systems.
• Administer contrast media following Radiology Contrast Policy.
• Recognize emergencies and assist with code procedures.

Skills

Clinical experience in diagnostic imaging modality

Ability to obtain BLS during employment

Education
