BJC HealthCare is hiring a Full-Time MRI Technologist for the Operating Room on the day shift at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

The role involves interventional and surgical MRI procedures, providing critical imaging support across OR cases with Siemens MRI machines. Training will occur on the day shift five days per week for about three months before transitioning to a 3 days per week rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in related field.
• Certification as RT(R) and/or MR.
• ARMRIT or ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Interventional and surgical MRI procedures in OR settings.
• Prepare patient and equipment for procedures.
• Perform studies independently in on-call situations and portable exams.

Position Details

• NO CALL!!!
• Day Shift Hours: 3 days per week at 12 hour shifts
• Interventional & surgical MRI procedures, providing critical imaging support across a variety of OR cases
• Advanced Modality Technologist position
• Surgical environment
• Siemens MRI Machines
• Training for position will be on day shift at 5 days per week for about 3 months before moving to the 3 days per week rotating schedule

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR
• ARMRIT or ARRT

Experience

• MRI and/or OR experience (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
