Rhode Island Medical Imaging is currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus!*

Summary

Under the supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist and according to established policies, this individual will perform MRI procedures, ensure quality control, produce high-quality diagnostic films, and interact professionally with patients, physicians, and staff to optimize patient flow and throughput.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 4:00PM-9:00PM (Cranston site)
• Friday 3:00PM-9:00PM (East Greenwich site)

Job Requirements

• Physical dexterity and strength to operate MRI equipment, position patients, and handle films and files.
• Ability to determine the appropriate studies based on case specifics.
• Interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, physicians, staff, and others.
• Organizational skills relevant to the position.
• Analytical skills for data interpretation.
• Knowledge and skills for providing proper patient care and performing exams per protocols.
• Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) preferred but not required.

Education/Certifications

• Must be ARRT registered with MR Certification.
• IV experience required.

Physical Demands

• Walking and standing intermittently.
• Lifting/moving patients and supplies up to 50 pounds.
• Transporting patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Crouching, reaching, and positioning maneuvers.
• Exposure to magnetic fields, noise, and RF; physical conditions aggravated by these are a concern.
• Work in Zone 3 and Zone 4.
