Job description

Responsibilities

Norton Healthcare is proud to offer career growth opportunities for technologists of any experience level. Cross-training opportunities are available for various modalities including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

The MRI Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment as appropriate to produce high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality. Applies professional knowledge to prepare patients for procedures, educate, and respond to questions or concerns. Ensures age-appropriate communication, safety, patient education, and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training.

Qualifications

Required:

  • RO (State Radiography License) and one of: ARRT-R, ARRT-N, or CNMT and must obtain one of: ARRT-MR or AMRIT within 1 year of hire.

Or

  • ROT (Temp State Radiography License) and must obtain one of: ARRT-R, ARRT-N, or CNMT prior to ROT expiration and must obtain one of: ARRT-MR or ARMRIT within 1 year of hire.

Or

  • One of: RDMS or ARRT-S and must obtain one of: ARRT-MR or ARMRIT within 1 year of hire.

Or

  • One of: ARRT-MR or ARMRIT.
