Job summary

SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and acquire diagnostic images.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, data entry, image transfer to PACS, and contrast administration within scope. Requires MRI or Radiology Tech program completion and ARRT MR or ARMRIT credential within 12 months of hire.

Night shift, full-time, with sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

Completion of MRI or Radiology Technology program.
ARRT MR credential or ARMRIT credential required within 12 months of hire.
No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
Enters and monitors patient data and transfers images.
Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS with correct markers and patient data/history.
Ensures equipment is properly functioning and reports any malfunctions.
Maintains a clean, orderly department including rooms, storage, and dressing areas.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safety.
Performs other duties as assigned.
