Job summary

Five Star Nursing is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI procedures with a focus on patient safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will prepare and position patients, screen for MRI safety, and operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostically accurate images.

The ideal candidate holds a Radiologic Technology degree, ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification, and at least 2 years of hospital MRI experience, plus current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification (RT) with MRI specialization (ARRT-MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based MRI experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards, protocols, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of MRI procedures utilizing established protocols to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, prioritizing their comfort and safety throughout.
• Conduct thorough patient screening for MRI safety, including assessing for implants or contraindications.
• Operate MRI equipment, adjusting technical parameters to achieve optimal image quality.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
• Administer contrast media in accordance with protocols and physician instructions, ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare team members to facilitate precise diagnosis.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation within EMR/PACS systems.
• Follow all safety guidelines, infection control policies, and regulatory requirements diligently.
