Job summary

Petersburg Medical Center is launching MRI imaging services in Petersburg, Alaska. We are seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across MRI and other radiologic procedures, supporting safe and high-quality care in a brand-new imaging suite.

Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent experience, ARRT or ARMRIT certification, and current BLS. Employment includes a full-time schedule, benefits, and adherence to immunization and pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree.
• ARRT or ARMRIT Certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Background check required prior to employment.
• Pre-employment drug screening is required.
• Immunization requirements as mandated by Alaska and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI exams and other radiologic procedures as trained.
• Maintain MRI safety protocols and ensure patient and staff safety.
• Position patients, select imaging sequences, and optimize image quality.
• Prepare patients and address concerns; screen for contraindications.
• Assist with scheduling, ordering, and documentation as needed.
