Job summary

South Shore Health System seeks an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment in Weymouth, MA. The role requires preparing patients, setting imaging parameters, and ensuring safety in a strong magnetic field.

You will perform QA on scanners and administer MR contrast while monitoring for adverse reactions. Under supervision of MRI leadership, you will document procedures in Epic/PACS and collaborate with radiologists for protocol clarity.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Medical Imaging and registered with ARRT (MRI).
• Minimum 1–2 years radiologic technologist experience; MRI preferred.
• Must hold ARRT MRI (or ARMRIT) certification and current BLS; ACLS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, position, set imaging parameters, and display images.
• Perform MRI QA procedures and document results; report equipment issues.
• Administer IVs and MR contrast; monitor for adverse reactions and record data.
• Instruct patients on MR safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with radiologists for protocol clarification; document all information.
