Position Summary

At Orlando Health Imaging Centers, our expert medical teams use advanced imaging tools that produce highly detailed images and precise results. Our facilities are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for staff qualifications, image quality, safety policies, and quality assurance. Your screening exam will be evaluated by a board-certified radiologist, providing a timely diagnosis and setting you on the quickest path to treatment and recovery.

Directs daily workflow of the MRI department and assists the Imaging Services Supervisor, Imaging Services Manager, and/or Imaging Services Director.

Location: 10889 W Colonial Dr, Ocoee, FL 34761

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to Orlando Health mission statement and strategic imperatives.
  • Directs and assists with daily workflow of the Imaging team, including patient flow, supply ordering, staff assignments, and resolution of customer service issues.
  • Plans and prioritizes exam scheduling and processing to support patient and physician needs.
  • Ensures images meet established Quality Control standards.
  • Provides input to supervisor for evaluations and coaching plans.
  • Participates in departmental projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Administers medical aid in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and other emergencies.
  • Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures as outlined in the technologist job description.
  • Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to MRI safety.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration, with and without power injectors.
  • Performs venipuncture and evaluates IV access for contrast administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Applies principles of MRI safety to patients, self, and others.
  • Ensures the safety of all customers.
  • Maintains regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements.

Qualifications

Education/Training

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure/Certification

  • Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Current BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
  • Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure is preferred.

Experience

Two (2) years of MRI experience required.
