Job Summary

The MRI Technologist IV produces images for medical diagnosis by performing a variety of magnetic resonance imaging procedures. Explains procedures to patients/families and assists radiologist in administering medications. May prepare patient for imaging by administering contrast IV and non-IV. Technologists focus on infant, children, and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach.

Pay Range

Minimum $55.58 Midpoint $73.63 Maximum $91.70

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: Minimum five (5) years clinical experience in a Pediatric MRI Setting.

• Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology or MRI.

Licensure

• Required: American Reg Rad Tech - Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR); Basic Life Support (BLS); Venipuncture Certificate.

• Preferred: Certified Radiologic Tech - CA; American Reg Rad Tech - Radiography (ARRT-R)

Work Environments - Functional Demand:

Sedentary - Very light energy level Lift 10 lbs. box overhead. Lift and carry 15 lbs. Push/pull 20 lbs. cart.
