Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System in Louisiana is seeking an experienced MRI technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic MRI exams. You will report to the Advanced MRI Practice Director and work within a collaborative Radiology team to deliver high-quality imaging.

The ideal candidate holds a Rad Tech license (ARRT/LSRT preferred), CPR certification, and has strong communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous MRI technologist or 2 years of radiological technologist experience preferred.
• Rad Tech license required; ARRT and LSRT licenses preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, peers and medical personnel.
• Ability to determine imaging techniques and contrast media administration.
• Requires emotional stability, resilience and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform diagnostic MRI exams as ordered.
• Collect, analyze and interpret data within the scope of practice.
• Participate in performance improvement and PI plan.
• Complete assignments within specified time constraints.
• Contribute to a non-discriminating, non-hostile environment.
• Follow safety protocols and protect patient information.
