Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System seeks an MRI technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging exams using MRI equipment and to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

The role requires Rad Tech license (ARRT/LSRT preferred) and CPR certification, with strong communication for patients, families and staff. The candidate must maintain safety, confidentiality and professional composure in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Previous MRI technologist or 2 years of radiological technologist experience preferred.
• Rad Tech license required; ARRT license preferred; LSRT license preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel.
• Ability to compute proper imaging techniques and contrast media administration.
• Requires emotional stability and resilience.
• Must be adaptable to change, be decisive and demonstrate foresight.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform diagnostic imaging exams as ordered.
• Analyze data within the scope of practice.
• Be knowledgeable and participate in PI plan implementation.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Performs a variety of technical diagnostic examinations associated with the operation of MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images of any designated portion of the body Reports directly to the Administrative Director of Radiology andor Medical Director of Radiology

SUPERVISION

Reports directly to the Advanced MRI Practice Director

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
