The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE
Sets up and utilizes all MRI equipment including imaging coils, patient monitoring systems, and related articles. Evaluate image quality by troubleshooting scanner or coil problems and scan parameters. Identifies and compensates for imaging artifacts. Reviews MRI registration and screening form thoroughly in order to confirm safe access into magnet room. Assists in training new MRI technologists and students. Performing all filming, archiving and PACS network data management for each patient scanned. Retrieves old MRI data for restoration and filming or networking. Master new techniques with each subsequent scanner upgrade. Communicates all pertinent patient information to necessary staff.
Receives training as well as regular direct supervision or guidance from more senior technologists, including orientation to the Departments infrastructure, policies, protocols, workflows, procedures and routines. Responsible for scanning patients in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer work, and discharging the patient from the MRI department with appropriate post MRI instructions.
