Job summary

Edward Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist II for per diem coverage. The role involves operating MRI equipment, positioning patients for optimal images, and administering contrast as prescribed. Excellent patient communication helps reduce anxiety and ensure a smooth exam flow.

Required ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification and CPR (BLS); a high school diploma is required and an associate degree is preferred. On-call, weekends and holidays are part of the schedule with premium pay.

Qualifications

• Prior MRI or radiology experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to troubleshoot software.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images as directed by Radiologist.
• Position patients and administer contrast media injections as needed.
• Ensure high-quality exams and proper image manipulation.
• Provide courteous, attentive patient communication to reduce anxiety.

Position: MRI Technologist II – Per Diem

Hourly Pay Range: $36.42 - $56.45 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Locations: Edward Hospital, 95th Street (Naperville), and Plainfield. Per Diem / PRN - As Needed. Hours: As needed, including on-call, weekends, and holidays.

Position Highlights

SIGN-ON BONUS: $1,000

What you will do:

Operates MRI equipment to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures.

Positions patients administers injections of contrast media and manipulates images to ensure a high quality exam.

Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice.

Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

What you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher
• Required: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certified
• Preferred: IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Preferred: Prior MRI experience or other radiology experience
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to troubleshoot problems as related to the software
