Job summary

Sentara is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to join the Radiology team at Princess Anne Hospital for third shift (nights). You will perform quality MRI imaging under physician supervision, administer contrast per protocol, and ensure patient safety screening and documentation are properly completed.

The role requires ARRT licensure and ALD Radiologic Sciences or equivalent certification, with at least 1 year of x-ray experience for cross-training.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification/licensure required.
• ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality MRI imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to protocol standards.
• Administer MRI contrast per protocol and ensure patient safety screening is evaluated prior to entering the scanner.
• Review patient records for accuracy and implants/devices using vendor resources.
• Communicate with physicians and supportive care staff as liaison.
• Maintain patient records, reports, and files; complete departmental documentation.
• Perform MRI exams per protocol and review images for accuracy and quality before interpretation.
