Qualifications

• Two years of regular MRI Technologist experience, must be proficient in MRI Technologist II duties.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• California Radiologic Technologist Certificate.
• California Venipuncture Certificate within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Demonstrated proficiency in teaching other technologists.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional diagnostic images per protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns with tact and courtesy.
• Ensure patient and staff safety, explain safety protocols, and monitor for hazards.
• Orient and train MRI staff, technologists, students, and trainees.
• Direct, check, and train MRI staff in absence of Supervising Technologist.
