Job summary

St. Peter’s Health Partners is seeking an MRI Technologist for the Day Shift at our Albany location. This full-time role supports the Medical Imaging department with MRI procedures and patient care, reporting to the Chief of Medical Imaging.

Qualified candidates will have an AAS in Radiologic Technology, at least 1 year of CT/MRI experience, and current ARRT registration with a NYS license.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• 1 year CT and/or MRI experience.
• Current ARRT registration and NYS license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic MRI under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging.
• Obtains and records a complete clinical history for examinations.
• Evaluates requests for appropriateness and refers concerns to coordinator/radiologist.
• Instructs patients about the exam and maintains patient comfort.
• Follows established scan protocols and radiologist instructions.
• Ensures proper safety and MRI procedures.
• Completes documentation related to patient care and RIS requirements.
