Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience or graduate of a Bachelor degree program.
• ARRT(MR) certification required.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized MRI procedures for diagnostic imaging.
• Provide patient care during MRI procedures.
• Ensure MR safety principles are applied.

Overview

Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program
• Licensure/Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area. BLS Basic Life Support
• Other Skills & Knowledge:
• IV Insertion· Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy and knowledge.
• Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:
• Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients.
• Continual standing or walking.
• Adapt to stressful situations
• Equipment Used:
• Should be proficient in the use of MRI Scanners, Power Injectors, workstations and Computers.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor degree
