Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for a part-time position in the Milwaukee area. The role involves operating MR equipment for a range of diagnostic procedures, with on-call shifts from 7pm to 6am during weekdays and 24 hours on weekends. Base pay plus call pay and overtime is offered.

Requires ARRT registration and MRI certifications, with BLS within 6 months and CAMRT/ARMRIT options. Typically 2 years MRI experience is preferred, in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.
• Proficient in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Team members must maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment for diagnostic procedures including angiography, thoracic, abdomen, venous, cardiac, and MRI modalities.
• Administers contrast media under Radiologist direction and ensures exam accuracy.
• Positions patient and optimizes scanning factors while ensuring safety.
• Post-processes images and labels them with patient data and study location.
• Maintains records and documents billing codes for procedures.
• Identifies equipment issues and performs QA tests; evaluates new products.
