Job summary

Novant Health's Mint Hill Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist II Acute to join our REMARKABLE acute care team. The role involves preparing patients and safely operating MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in acute settings across inpatient, outpatient, ED and OR environments.

Education and certification requirements include an associate degree and ARRT MR registration; one year MR experience preferred; licensure and life-support training as per policy.

Qualifications

• Two-year/Associate degree preferred; ARRT-approved Radiography or MR program required.
• Minimum of 1 year MR experience preferred.
• NH Medical Center-Certified and ARRT MR registration within 6 months of hire; state license required.
• Thorough knowledge of MRI equipment, analytical thinking and basic computer skills; good communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and operate MR equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in the acute setting.
• Assist physicians during procedures and coordinate imaging across inpatient, outpatient, ED and OR, including trauma imaging.
