Job summary

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform routine MRI procedures, leveraging expertise in cross-sectional anatomy and patient positioning to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Under supervision, you will evaluate image quality, educate patients, document data in hospital systems, and participate in quality improvement while adhering to Title 22 and California licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher. ARRT approved MRI program required.
• One year of MRI experience required; cross training possible from within another modality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine MRI procedures with proficiency.
• Use knowledge of anatomy, physiology and patient positioning to obtain high-quality images.
• Evaluate image quality and make corrections to optimize exams.
• Educate patients and families about procedures; report status changes and initiate emergency response if needed.
• Document patient information in hospital systems; may have call responsibilities and rotate to imaging centers.
• Support department policies and quality improvement initiatives.
