MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST I
JOB DESCRIPTION

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist I position works independently to complete a variety of routine MR procedures, including common and specialty MR exams of moderate complexity. This role provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special MR procedures. The technologist delivers exceptional patient care, adheres to MR exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies, and ensures patient safety and customer service. The position is part of the direct patient care team.

This role involves performing magnetic resonance imaging in inpatient, emergency room, and hybrid operating room settings. The technologist will be part of an imaging team at the first medical school in Texas, known for producing top physicians worldwide. The department performs state-of-the-art protocols for prostate, cardiac, breast, pediatric, perfusion, and research imaging, using 1.5 & 3.0T GE and Siemens equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Completion of MRI training program, including UTMB MR Training Program.
  • 0+ years of experience.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS
  • American Heart Association (BLS)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)

Friday - Saturday - Sunday, 8:00am to 8:00pm

MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST II
JOB DESCRIPTION

The MRI Technologist II position requires experience in performing a wide range of MR procedures, from routine to complex, including specialty exams of high difficulty. The technologist serves as a mentor and trainer to Technologist I and students, and works independently with sound judgment and advanced clinical skills. The role involves assisting physicians with diagnostic and specialty MR procedures, delivering exceptional patient care, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Completion of an MRI training program, including UTMB MR Training Program.
  • Proficiency in advanced interventional and diagnostic MR cases, including head, cardiac, prostate, and breast imaging.
  • 3+ years of experience.
REQUIRED LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS
  • American Heart Association (BLS)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
