Performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.

Schedule

Mon-Fri 2p-10:30p

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Prefer experienced MRI Technologists.
  • Prefer satisfactory completion of an accredited MRI program with advanced MRI certification or registry eligible for MRI certification.
  • Prefer at least one year of experience within the Radiology or MRI department with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy a plus.
  • Candidates not MRI registered may be required to complete the Medical Imaging Consultants (MIC) – MRI Cross-Trainer depending on experience level.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:

Employees in this position:

  • Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.

Note: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses their personal or Shands vehicle at least once daily, at least five trips per week, or drives over 150 miles per week for work. Indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form when submitting the position.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Prefer ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist.
  • Must pass the ARRT or ARMRIT advanced examination for MRI certification within one year of employment.
  • Must have current BLS certification.
