Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an MRI Technologist I for the Foulk Road location. This full-time flex position is 36 hours per week on a day shift, with responsibilities including MRI and other diagnostic imaging as qualified, ensuring safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiologic technology registry is required.
• ARRT MRI registry must be completed within two years of hire.
• Associates degree (or related field) within three years as per education agreement.
• State licensure is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI safety screenings for patients and research implanted devices prior to scanning.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses; complies with Joint Commission regulations.
• Demonstrates skills to provide care for neonatal to geriatric patients and to identify patient needs.
• Demonstrates ability to scan patients with ventilator support, anesthesia support, pacemakers, and other specialty needs.
• Coordinates workflow and patient care activities.
• Administers contrast media under physician supervision and demonstrates IV access skills.
• Assesses patient for adverse reactions and status changes; performs i-STAT testing and GFR calculations per policy.
• Transmits optimum quality images to PACS and performs QC on scans.
