Job summary

OU Health is seeking an MRI Technologist I for the Adult MRI department on a 3 x12 night rotation. The role involves performing routine MRI exams under supervision, preparing patients, and administering contrast per protocol to support accurate imaging.

Responsibilities include accurate image transfer to EMR/PACS, basic QC, and active participation in education and quality initiatives to uphold safety and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program.
• Completion of ARRT/ARMRIT certification eligibility or equivalent.
• No MRI experience required for Level I; 3+ years for Level II; 5+ years for Level III.
• Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine MRI examinations under direct supervision.
• Prepare patients and correlate history with physician orders.
• Safely administer contrast per protocol.
• Transmit images to EMR/PACS and document procedures.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic quality control.
• Participate in continuing education and quality initiatives.
• Assist with inventory and supplies as needed.
