Job description

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist I is responsible for performing routine MRI procedures and attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing such procedures. The MRT I provides services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies, and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Qualifications

Required: Graduate of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging program or recognized equivalent. Registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) is required.

Additional: Must maintain high confidentiality, work effectively under pressure in emergencies, and perform routine imaging procedures while adapting to new techniques.

Preferred: Two years of post-graduate experience preferred. Knowledge of Standards of Practice as defined by ACMDTT. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills. Ability to assess patient capabilities and adjust procedures accordingly.
