Bryan Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MR imaging, MRV and MRA with a strong emphasis on safety and patient care. You will position patients, administer contrast as needed, and coordinate exams within Radiology to ensure efficient workflow.

Required ARRT certification, Nebraska license, and MRI certification within 36 months of hire. CPR/BLS also required, and you will work with HIS, RIS, PACS systems daily.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a radiologic technology program with ARRT certification or eligibility.
• Valid Nebraska Radiologic Technologist license is required.
• MRI certification must be obtained within 36 months of hire date.

Responsabilités

• Perform all MRI, MRV and MRA procedures.
• Ensure MRI safety procedures at all times.
• Position patients to optimize anatomy and image quality.
• Perform venipuncture as part of contrast administration.
• Use sterile technique as required throughout procedures.
• Access and administer drugs as per center protocol.
• Operate MRI equipment and associated systems (HIS, RIS, PACS).
• Review patient history in PACS and document studies accurately.
• Care for patients of all ages while maintaining confidentiality.
• Coordinate exams with departments and staff for timely care.
• Handle scheduling inquiries with courtesy and accuracy.
• Participate in department quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment; report issues.
• Keep work area stocked and ready for patient flow.

Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY: The MRI Technologist perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician. Uses MRI technology and techniques to assist in the diagnosis of patient medical problems for patients throughout the age continuum.

Principal Job Functions

• 3. *Practices MRI safety procedures at all times.
• 4. *Optimally demonstrates patient anatomy through proper positioning and selection of technical factors.
• 5. *Performs venipuncture.
• 6. *Uses sterile technique as required.
• 7. *Accesses and administers drugs and biologicals that are pertinent to essential job functions in accordance with Medical Center procedures.
• 8. *Competently operates all MRI equipment and support systems to include HIS, RIS, Scheduling System, PACS, and offsite Radiologist Services.
• 9. *Utilizes department computer systems, and PACS to review patient history and provide accurate documentation of studies.
• 10. *Properly cares for and images patients of all ages; maintains patient confidentiality.
• 11. *Coordinates exams within the department and with other departments to provide expedient and complete care; communicates with medical staff, coworkers, patients, families, and other hospital staff to assure quality patient care.
• 12. *Handles telephone calls for scheduling, coordination, or questions with courtesy and accuracy.
• 13. *Participates in the departments quality improvement plan as required.
• 14. *Cleans, disinfects and maintains equipment as necessary; notifies coordinator of equipment problems and calls appropriate service vendors as needed.
• 15. *Keeps work area properly supplied.

Education and Experience

Graduate from a school of radiologic technology with current certification or eligibility for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required. Valid State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer license required. MRI certification required within 36 months from date of hire.

Other Credentials / Certifications

Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
