Job summary

Required AMA/JRCERT training, ARRT/ARMRIT certification, and BLS within six weeks; MRI experience is preferred. Responsibilities include imaging, patient positioning, and potential on-call duties at Sanford Rural Health Network sites.

Qualifications

• Formal Radiologic Technology training from an AMA-approved or JRCERT-approved program.
• MRI training or experience preferred.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required at time of hire.
• BLS certification within six weeks of employment possible.

Responsibilities

• Initiates life support measures as necessary.
• Interacts effectively with patients, families, physicians and health care workers.
• Operates MRI equipment with extensive knowledge and accuracy.
• Positions patient for comfort and exam quality.
• Administers contrast material as required.
• Obtains patient history and clinical indication for MRI study.
• Documents accurately in patient records.
• Uses EMR software for scheduling and billing procedures.
• Maintains understanding of patient physical and emotional status.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-section anatomy and age-appropriate care.
• Performs diagnostic radiology procedures and may expand to mobile imaging, EKG, and DEXA as needed.
