Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations and provide patient care across all ages. You will follow established imaging protocols under supervision, ensure QA per ACR guidelines, and educate patients while maintaining competency across imaging and non-scanner tasks.

The role requires graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or a JRCERT accredited program, with ARDMS/ARRT certification and BLS on hire

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• None
• 6 months MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all MRI procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies in all non-scanner related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.
