Responsibilities

• Receive, relay and document orders in the patient chart as permitted by policy.
• Provide education and prepare patients for procedures.
• Select the appropriate MRI protocol and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Evaluate images for positioning and quality; determine if additional images are needed.
• Postprocess images and ensure archival storage and confidentiality.
