An established industry player is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures with minimal supervision. This role involves positioning patients, analyzing image quality, and ensuring patient safety through monitoring and education. Sign on Bonus Eligible: $10,000 (2 year commitment)
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Performs prescribed MRI imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Positions patient and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results, identifies issues with image quality, and takes appropriate action, including repositioning the patient and redoing procedures. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. (50%)
Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. (25%)
Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications as ordered, within scope. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes. (15%)
Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards, performs quality control procedures, troubleshoots, and reports equipment malfunctions. (10%)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree, technical school certification, or 6 months to 1 year related experience/training; or equivalent.
Radiography Certification (R), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (N), Radiation Therapy Certification (RT), MRI (MR) through ARRT, CNMT, ARDMS, or ARMRIT.
MRI Certification through ARRT required within 18 months of hire unless employee has ARMRIT certification. Employees prior to July 1, 2022, in MRI roles without certification are not required to obtain it; those with certification must maintain it. New hires or transfers into MRI roles after July 1, 2022, must maintain active certifications.
CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 criminal background clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as an MRI Technologist.
