The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:* Perform all routine procedures designated within the MRI Section of Radiology Department* Demonstrates competency and efficiency in the treatment, care of and interaction with all patients of any age to include neo-natal, newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics* Responsible for assessing and clearing the patient for MRI safety* Reviews the physician order or patient chart for appropriate order, diagnosis and physicians signature* Confirms the signed Patient MRI Interview Form* Prepares the patient for the procedure, answers any questions or refers questions to the radiologist assigned* Responsible for beginning and ending the procedure in the computer system to ensure proper billing for services and to maintain department productivity relative to work area* Provides a safe environment to include but not limited to magnetic field exposure, infection control guidelines and Universal Precautions* Maintains good guest relations with patients, visitors, hospital staff and medical staff to include the use of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation and Thank you)* Monitors the quality of care based on on-going monitors striving for continuous quality improvement* Other duties as assigned# **Minimum Qualifications**The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:## **Education and Formal Training**:* ARRT Registered required or* Graduate from an Associate in Applied Science in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), required* Any applicant not registered as an ARRT in MRI must provide documentation of application with the ARRT to sit for the MRI registry* Registered in MRI with the ARRT is required post one (1) year of hiring date.
