Job summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital is seeking an MRI technologist to perform quality MRI imaging at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. The role emphasizes patient-centric care and independent professional judgment in an acute care setting.

You will collaborate with radiologists and technologists, ensure safety protocols, and maintain equipment, while delivering accurate images and exceptional guest relations.

Qualifications

• Required: BCLS, ARRT (MR), and venipuncture certification.
• Preferred: Certificate from an accredited MRI program.
• Preferred: Prior MRI experience in a hospital setting.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
• State of California CRT is a plus.

An MRI technologist performs quality MRI imaging procedures at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. MRI technologists play a critical role in the delivery of health services in an acute care hospital environment while providing patient centric care at all times. An MRI technologist is expected to exercise independent professional and ethical judgment at all times.
