Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville is seeking a MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic and treatment purposes with independent judgement.

The ideal candidate has an accredited MRI program and advanced MRI certification, with experience in Radiology or MRI and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy; ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registration preferred and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Prefer experienced MRI Technologists with an accredited MRI program and advanced MRI certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in Radiology or MRI; cross-sectional anatomy knowledge is a plus.
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registration preferred; must pass MRI certification within 1 year; current BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Prefer experienced MRI Technologists. Prefer satisfactory completion of an accredited MRI program with advanced MRI certification or registry eligible for MRI certification.
• Prefer at least one year of experience within the Radiology or MRI department with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy a plus.
• Candidates that are not MRI registered may be required to complete the Medical Imaging Consultants (MIC) �MRI Cross-Trainer� dependent on the level of experience.
• Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:None provided
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Prefer ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist.
• Must pass the ARRT or ARMRIT advanced examination for MRI certification within one year of employment as a MRI Technologist.
• Must have current BLS certification.
