Job summary

UF Health Shands in Gainesville seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures in a fast-paced setting, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Strong communication and clinical skills required; prefer ARRT MR or ARMRIT registration, BLS, and 1+ year experience in Radiology or MRI. You will follow policies and contribute to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prefer experienced MRI Technologists.
• Accredited MRI program with advanced MRI certification or registry eligible.
• At least one year of experience in Radiology/MRI; cross-sectional anatomy knowledge a plus.
• Must pass ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT advanced MRI exam within one year; current BLS.

The MRI Tech must be effective with communication, clinical skills, and able to work positively in a high stress environment with patients, peers, families and other internal / external personnel. The MRI Tech is responsible for carrying out the mission and goals of UF Health Shands, assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the patients care. Other duties will be assigned within the scope and licensure of the MRI Tech.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Prefer experienced MRI Technologists. Prefer satisfactory completion of an accredited MRI program with advanced MRI certification or registry eligible for MRI certification. Prefer at least one year of experience within the Radiology or MRI department with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy a plus. Candidates that are not MRI registered may be required to complete the Medical Imaging Consultants (MIC “MRI Cross-Trainer”) dependent on the level of experience. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: None provided Licensure/Certification/Registration: Prefer ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist. Must pass the ARRT or ARMRIT advanced examination for MRI certification within one year of employment as a MRI Technologist. Must have current BLS certification.
