The position offers full-time schedule (40 hours/week) with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 prorated. ARRT MRI certification and BCLS are required within specified timelines.

Location : Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital (LGH) in Lancaster, PA
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000.00 prorated on hours worked per week with a 2-year commitment. Internal and external eligible candidates only.
Schedule : Full time (40 hours per week), mid-shift, Monday-Friday from 3:30pm to 12pm, no weekend rotation, up to 5 weekends on call throughout the year, 1-2 holidays per year and 1 holiday on call per year
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the radiologist, the MR technologist performs a variety of MR procedures on pediatric and adult patients. They have the ability to perform all MR procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning, magnetic field safety and cross-sectional anatomy.
Essential Function:
Obtains patient history, explains the procedure, gains consent for contrast material administration and address any patient concerns prior to beginning the procedure.
Performs all necessary checks for accuracy of the prescription, precertification/authorization if required by individual insurance companies, Soarian order and patient identification.
Perform all MR procedures following the appropriate imaging protocols.
Compiles and reviews images, provides applicable comparison studies, and prepares documentation for interpretation.
Performs quality control testing as required.
Clean, adjust and perform routine maintenance on equipment; stock and replenish supplies as required.
