Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, DE seeks an MRI Technologist for a Full-Time day shift in the Imaging Department. ARRT MRI registry is required, with a two-year Radiology degree and preferred two years MR experience. Siemens experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• ARRT registry required; MRI registry exam must be passed within 2 years if not yet certified.
• Two-year associate degree in Radiology completed.
• 2 years MR technologist experience preferred.
• Siemens product experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures per departmental protocols.
• Enter patient data in RIS, HIS and Intergy accurately.
• Transmit optimum quality images to PACS.
• Obtain and document adequate patient history.
• Perform QC and digitize films as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and team members.
• Work safely and report any hazards to supervisor.
• Care for neonatal to geriatric patients with appropriate development awareness.

ChristianaCare's Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a Full-Time MRI Technologist to work at Newark Hospital during the day shift.

There is also a $7,5000.00 sign on bonus for eligible candidates!!!!

As a MRI Technologist:

• PerformsMRIproceduresas defined by departmental protocols
• Performs duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data.
• Completes transmission of optimum quality images to PACS system
• Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented
• Performs QC and is able to digitize films
• Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and all members of the health care team
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules andpractices;reportsto supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
• Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to [neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients], including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.

Requirements

• Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).
• Completion of a 2 year associates degree program in Radiology.
• 2 years’ experience as an MRITechnologist preferred
• Experience with Siemens products preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $38.98 - $62.38

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
