Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at our Chambersburg facility for a part-time position. You will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality MR studies, and collaborate with radiologists and staff on-site and remotely where required.

The role requires ARRT MR certification (or eligible), CPR, a state license if applicable, and strong patient service and multitasking skills. Training and orientation may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety and pre-screening per Contraindications.
• Produces high quality diagnostic MR images.
• Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.
• Communicates effectively with radiologists, patients, and staff.
• Trains and orients new technologists and assistants, on site and/or remote.

This will be a Part-Time position.As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/ or remote. Ensures effective communication with Radiologist, team members, patients, and customers for those who work in the mobile environment. When required, trains, and orients new technologists, Patient Coordinators and/or MR Technologist Assistants.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite.Produces high quality diagnostic images.
