Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program.
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Selects appropriate imaging techniques and monitors patient data.
  • Ensures patient safety and adheres to operational protocols.

Exciting New Incentives:

Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000


Overview:

The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to PACS.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.

  • Experience: Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position.

  • Licensure/Certifications: Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility). BLS Basic Life Support

  • Other Skills & Knowledge: IV Insertion. Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.

  • Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients. Continual standing or walkng. Adapt to stressful situations.

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor degree

  • Preferred Experience: at least 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Preferred Licensure: ARRT or ARMRIT - 1 Advanced registry (MRI)
