Job summary

Wellstar is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the WEST Team in Georgia. You will perform MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and contribute to high-quality imaging across facilities.

The role emphasizes using MRI protocols, patient communication, and strict safety practices to deliver accurate diagnostic images and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-MR (MRI) certifications are required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams and produce diagnostic-quality images per established protocols.
• Verify orders, collect clinical history, complete MRI safety screening and assess contraindications.
• Confirm patient identity; ensure accurate documentation, labeling and markers.
• Prepare patients for exams; explain procedures using AIDET and maintain privacy and dignity.
• Apply MRI safety practices at all times (magnet safety, access control, hearing protection).

Job Summary

• The Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team (WEST Team) supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities. Region One includes Kennestone Hospital, North Fulton Hospital, and Windy Hill.
• As an MRI Technologist for Region One, you will apply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve.

Pay

• In return for stepping in where you’re needed most, Float Pool members earn a higher base rate and may be eligible for a float incentive.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience
