Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an MRI Technologist to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic interpretation and to perform MRI procedures under licensed supervision. The role includes administering contrast, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with health care teams.

You will train new technologists, maintain equipment proficiency, and support multiple locations as needed. Relevant certifications (ARRT(MR), BLS/ACLS) and at least 1 year of MRI experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • ARRT(MR) certification and state license, if applicable.
  • BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross or ACLS, where applicable.
  • Ability to work at several locations, as needed.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
  • 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.

Responsibilities

  • Produce cross-sectional images for medical interpretation through radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform MRI procedures by acquiring and analyzing data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
  • Independently perform or assist a licensed practitioner in the completion of magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
  • Prepare, administer and document activities related to contrast administration.
  • Interact with all healthcare staff and patients' families and visitors.
  • Maintain proficiency and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety and appropriate management of MRI zones.
  • Demonstrate competency of differing MR equipment and power injection equipment.
  • Train and orient new technologists and MR Technologist Assistants.
