Job summary

The Baylor Scott & White Health in Waxahachie, TX seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures under Radiologist supervision, following established protocols. You will prepare patients, position them, and ensure safety and image quality while maintaining records and cooperating with engineers and physicists.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, ARRT(R) or MR certification, and less than 1 year of experience. This on-site role offers benefits and a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• ARRT/ MR or ARMRIT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality MRI procedures per exam protocol.
• Uses AIDET to communicate with patients and obtain consent.
• Prepares patient and area, positions patient, adjusts equipment for exposure factors.
• Maintains safety, infection-control, and sterile technique.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and works with engineers/physicists for optimal operation.
• Screens people entering the department per policy.
• Obtains and maintains requisitions, patient history, and shielding precautions.
• Maintains medical imaging records per department policies.
