Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in Georgia. You will operate MRI equipment, position patients for exams, and ensure safety and quality of scans.

The role requires continuing collaboration with physicians and staff to deliver accurate images and compassionate patient care. You will work in a fast-paced radiology department, following protocol for pre-procedure verification, time-out, and post-procedure care, while maintaining patient privacy

Qualifications

• Must be able to explain procedures clearly to patients and families.
• Experience communicating with physicians, staff and visitors in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and provide accurate, timely imaging.
• Familiar with safety procedures and patient privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment and position patients for procedures.
• Ensure patient safety, assess contraindications and review orders.
• Prepare and administer contrast as required and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain equipment and document imaging studies in RIS/PACS.
• Communicate pre- and post-procedure instructions to patients.
