Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT board certified Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT board certification in Advanced Level Examinations in Radiologic Technology or equipment expertise.
• BLS and CPR certification; MRI experience (2 years).

Responsibilities

• Research scheduled exams in EMR for clarifications when orders are incomplete or ambiguous.
• Perform all routine MRI procedures and views per department procedures.
• Review MRI studies for image quality and correct identification.
• Ensure optimal image quality of anatomy and pathology.
• Prepare and/or administer IV contrast medium.
• Consult with radiologist/physicians regarding examinations as needed.
• Review sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
• Organize and direct MRI area activities to maximize patient throughput.
