Responsibilities

• Maintain protocols as directed by the MRI Coordinator/Lead(s).
• Perform daily check-ups and quality control on MRI scanners.
• Perform IV insertion for contrast following OSHA guidelines.
• Identify each patient and review exam paperwork.
• Send all images to PACS and verify tech notes have transmitted.

Position Summary

• Responsible for maintaining protocols as directed by the MRI Coordinator/Lead(s).
• Performs and maintains daily check-ups and quality control on MRI scanners as required by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the state Department of State Health Services, and other credentialing organizations.
• Performs IV insertion for contrast following OSHA guidelines.
• Identifies each patient, reviews exam paperwork with the patient, and obtains appropriate medical history.
• Confirms that all images are sent to PACS per policy and procedures and verifies that tech notes and required documents have transmitted to PACS.
