This job maintains safety in the MRI environment while assessing patients and safely performing routine MRI procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols. Serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.
Up to $20,000 sign on bonus available!
Shift
M-F 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Education
Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
Required – 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience.
Preferred – Clinical MRI experience.
Certifications
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
ARRT registered or unlimited state license
OR
Certification in another clinical imaging field (such as ARDMS or NMTCB) with associate degree or bachelor degree in allied health field
OR
ARRT, ARMRIT OR CAMRT registered as an MR technologist with no experience.
Advanced certification in MRI required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry required within two years of employment.
Preferred - Advanced certification in MRI required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry.

Very Heavy Work - exerting over 100 pounds of force occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those for Heavy Work. These include walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and working at a production pace.
Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues; working in patient care areas; and working directly with patients and specimens that could contain communicable diseases. There may be occupational risks for exposure to hazardous medications or waste, with increased risk depending on duties.
