Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality MRI scans with a focus on patient safety and comfort, following MRI protocols and imaging techniques.

The role requires ARRT certification and completion of accredited radiology training. You will work with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate image acquisition, maintain patient records, and uphold HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of radiology with an additional year of MRI training.
• Experience required.
• ARRT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images per physician orders and protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Evaluate images for quality and communicate findings to radiologists as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and facility standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Adhere to safety guidelines related to magnetic fields and contrast administration.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
