Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sets up and utilizes MRI equipment including imaging coils and patient monitoring systems.
• Evaluate image quality by troubleshooting scanner or coil problems and scan parameters.
• Identify and compensate for imaging artifacts.
• Review MRI registration and screening forms for safe access into magnet room.
• Assist in training new MRI technologists and students.
• Perform filming, archiving and PACS data management for each patient scanned.
• Retrieve old MRI data for restoration and networking.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to staff.
• Discharge patient with post-MRI instructions.
