Job summary

A healthcare staffing solution provider is seeking an MRI Tech in Dixon, Illinois. The role involves analyzing patient histories, preparing contrast dyes, and ensuring patient comfort during scans. Candidates must have at least 2 years of MRI Tech experience and an ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification. This contract position offers a competitive weekly pay range of $2,700.00-$2,800.00. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in various healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 Years of MRI Tech experience required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing patient histories and completing screenings for pacemakers and injuries.
• Preparing and administering contrast dyes.
• Addressing patients’ concerns and ensuring comfort during scans.
• Performing regular inspections of the MRI equipment and scheduling maintenance.
• Positioning patients and completing MRI scans according to specifications.
• Ensuring cleanliness and safety of MRI rooms.
• Training junior MRI Technologists and assisting new staff.
• Writing reports and escalating issues as needed.
• Carrying out quality assurance procedures and implementing improvements.

Skills

Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology

Proficiency in 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging

Excellent patient care and communication skills

Attention to detail and critical thinking

Ability to work in outpatient, inpatient, ICU, and emergency settings

Education

ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification

License required to submit

BLS (Basic Life Support)
